Our Program
At The Walnut House Early Learning & Care, we believe childhood should be full of wonder, play, and connection. With a small group size, we create deep relationships with children and families, making sure every child feels seen, valued, and supported.
Our program is guided by an Early Childhood Education (ECE) professional and centered around play-based learning because kids learn best when they’re having fun. Studies show that play is actually the most effective way for little ones to build important skills and understand the world around them.
Each day includes a thoughtful mix of open-ended play, creative arts, and plenty of time outdoors in a beautiful, lush environment. We honor each child’s natural rhythm, balancing active, energetic play with quieter moments to rest and recharge.
Our program runs from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm, allowing children to enjoy a full day of play, exploration, and connection while still having time in the afternoon to rest and be with family. These hours help us create a calm, nurturing environment for every child.

The Roots of Our Learning
Play-Based Learning
Play is how kids figure out the world. It sparks creativity, helps solve problems, and supports their social and emotional growth all while being fun and engaging.
A Nurturing Environment
We offer a safe and loving space where children can be themselves and feel truly supported. We always listen and help kids navigate their feelings, friendships, new experiences, and growth.
Connection with Nature
We believe fresh air, sunshine, and a little dirt are all part of healthy growth. That’s why we spend lots of time outside exploring and connecting with the world around us.
Community and Families
Building strong relationships with families and the community is really important to us. When caregivers and families work hand in hand, that’s when the magic really happens.
